Chef Kwasi Kwaa is a celebrated Boston-based chef with over 15 years of culinary experience, known for global comfort food rooted in the African diaspora. A multiple-time James Beard Award Semifinalist for Best New Restaurant and Best Chef: Northeast, he gained national recognition as a chef-partner at the acclaimed Comfort Kitchen in Dorchester. Grounded in his Ghanaian heritage and shaped by years of fine dining and high-level catering experience, Chef Kwasi brings a rare blend of cultural storytelling, precision, and warmth to every dish. In 2025, he brought this vision to Martha’s Vineyard, joining Chef Ting as Chef de Cuisine at Black Joy Kitchen.
